1. Welcome to FoodRunz
FoodRunz is a dedicated delivery infrastructure platform built for food businesses. Unlike gig-economy delivery apps that charge 20–30% commission per order, FoodRunz provides a flat-rate, zero-commission model where vendors get dedicated drivers assigned to their business on a recurring schedule.
FoodRunz is a DivaddLimited Company. We operate a selective onboarding model — not every business qualifies. We focus on vendors with consistent delivery volume, safe pickup environments, and a commitment to treating drivers with respect.
This Operations Guide is the authoritative reference for how the platform works. Both vendors and drivers are required to acknowledge they have read and understood this guide before activation.
2. How the Platform Works
FoodRunz connects food businesses with dedicated delivery drivers. Here's the core flow:
- A vendor applies and is approved through our review process.
- The vendor selects a plan tier (Growth, Scale, Enterprise, or Food Truck/Home-Based) and a tip payment schedule.
- The vendor configures their POS system to collect the standard $3.99 FoodRunz delivery fee.
- FoodRunz matches dedicated drivers to the vendor based on location, availability, and expertise.
- Drivers work recurring shifts at the vendor's location — lunch, dinner, or full-day.
- The vendor collects delivery fees and tips through their POS and pays the driver per the agreed schedule.
- FoodRunz provides routing, live tracking, scheduling, and analytics through the platform.
FoodRunz can supply either independent FoodRunz drivers or GigSmart drivers. The payout responsibility is the same regardless of driver source.
3. Dedicated Driver Program
The FoodRunz Dedicated Driver Program assigns drivers to specific vendors on a recurring basis — daily, weekly, or 30-day assignments. This is not on-demand gig delivery. Drivers commit to a vendor's schedule, and vendors get reliable, trained drivers who know their business.
Drivers are categorized into tiers based on performance: Standard, Silver, Gold, and Elite. Vendors can request minimum driver tiers for specialized needs like catering, large orders, or corporate events.
Vendors can also purchase additional temporary drivers at $20/day beyond their plan's included driver allocation when demand spikes.
4. Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors on the FoodRunz platform are responsible for:
- Configuring their POS system to collect the standard $3.99 FoodRunz delivery fee on every eligible delivery order.
- Collecting all customer tips through their POS system.
- Paying 100% of earned delivery fees and tips to the driver per the agreed tip payment schedule.
- Providing a safe pickup environment for drivers.
- Having orders ready at the agreed pickup time.
- Maintaining accurate delivery volume and order information in the platform.
- Reporting tip amounts paid to drivers for transparency (via the ClearPay™ reconciliation system).
- Complying with all FoodRunz platform rules and vendor agreement terms.
5. Driver Responsibilities
Drivers on the FoodRunz platform are responsible for:
- Arriving on time for scheduled shifts.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and customer service standard.
- Completing deliveries safely and within estimated timeframes.
- Using the FoodRunz app for route navigation, delivery confirmation, and live tracking.
- Maintaining a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current insurance.
- Reviewing assignment details before accepting recurring assignments.
- Reporting any payment concerns through the dispute process.
- Maintaining a minimum reliability score to remain active on the platform.
6. Payment Policies
FoodRunz operates a clear, transparent payment model. The key principle: the vendor pays the driver directly through their POS system. FoodRunz does not process, collect, or distribute driver compensation.
Driver earnings consist of two components:
- Delivery Fee: $3.99 per delivery, collected by the vendor through the POS, designated 100% for the driver.
- Customer Tips: Gratuities collected through the vendor's POS, paid 100% to the driver.
Vendors select a tip payment schedule during onboarding (end of shift, daily, weekly, or another agreed schedule). The selected schedule becomes part of the vendor agreement.
Driver Payment Protection Program™
If a driver reports non-payment, FoodRunz investigates the claim. For verified non-payment, FoodRunz may advance payment to the driver at its discretion while pursuing reimbursement from the vendor under the vendor agreement. This is a protection mechanism — not an unconditional guarantee of payment. FoodRunz reserves the right to deny advances in cases of fraud, disputed deliveries, vendor insolvency, or insufficient evidence.
7. Tip Policies
- Customer tips are collected through the vendor's POS system.
- FoodRunz does not collect, process, or distribute customer tips.
- The vendor is solely responsible for paying all earned tips to the dedicated driver.
- Tip withholding is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension.
- For GigSmart drivers, tip add-on pay must be submitted through the GigSmart platform as Add-On Pay.
- Vendors report tip amounts paid to drivers through the ClearPay™ reconciliation system for transparency.
8. Delivery Fee Policies
- Every participating vendor with a POS system agrees to add the standard FoodRunz delivery fee (currently $3.99 per delivery, unless updated by FoodRunz) to each eligible delivery order.
- This delivery fee is collected by the vendor and is designated for the dedicated driver's delivery compensation.
- The vendor is responsible for properly configuring its POS system to collect this fee.
- For catering orders, pre-negotiated flat delivery fees may apply instead of the standard $3.99.
- FoodRunz may update the standard delivery fee amount with notice to vendors.
9. POS Setup Instructions
Vendors must configure their POS system to collect the FoodRunz delivery fee. General steps:
- Create a new fee/item in your POS labeled "FoodRunz Delivery Fee" set to $3.99.
- Ensure the fee is automatically applied to all delivery orders.
- Configure tip prompts for delivery orders (recommended: 15%, 18%, 20% options).
- Set up a tip-out/payout report at the end of each shift showing delivery fees and tips collected for the driver.
- Pay the driver per your selected tip payment schedule using the POS report.
- Report the payout in the FoodRunz ClearPay™ reconciliation dashboard.
If you need assistance configuring your POS, FoodRunz offers a tech consultation during onboarding. Common POS systems supported: Square, Toast, Clover, Lightspeed, and others.
10. Driver Scheduling
Vendors post shift requests through the FoodRunz platform specifying date, time, location, driver count, and delivery volume. FoodRunz's matching engine identifies suitable drivers based on location, availability, expertise, and tier.
Shift types include: single day, multi-day, recurring, 30-day assignments, weekendz (weekend coverage), catering events, corporate events, large order dropoffs, and multi-stop events.
Drivers receive notifications for matching shifts and can accept or decline. Drivers with more than 3 shift declines in 30 days receive an automated warning.

12. Dispute Process
If a dispute arises — whether between a driver and vendor, or regarding a payment — FoodRunz provides a structured resolution process:
- The affected party submits a dispute through the platform with supporting evidence.
- FoodRunz reviews the claim and may request additional documentation.
- Both parties are given an opportunity to respond.
- FoodRunz issues a determination based on the vendor agreement, platform rules, and evidence provided.
- For verified driver non-payment claims, the Driver Payment Protection Program™ may advance payment at FoodRunz's discretion while pursuing reimbursement from the vendor.
- Disciplinary action may be taken against any party found in violation.
Incidents are categorized by severity (minor, moderate, major, critical) and tracked on the vendor's compliance profile. Repeated or critical incidents may result in suspension or termination.
13. Suspension & Termination Policies
FoodRunz may suspend or terminate a vendor or driver account for:
- Failure to pay drivers as agreed (verified non-payment).
- Tip withholding or fraudulent reporting.
- Unsafe work environment or harassment of drivers.
- Repeated incidents or critical-severity incidents.
- Violation of platform rules or vendor/driver agreement terms.
- Fraud, misrepresentation, or illegal activity.
Disciplinary actions escalate: warning → Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) → temporary suspension → restricted access → termination. Vendors may appeal actions through the dispute process.
Terminated vendors remain liable for any unpaid driver compensation and reimbursements owed to FoodRunz under the Driver Payment Protection Program™.
14. Signature & Acknowledgment
By completing onboarding, both vendors and drivers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to the policies outlined in this Operations Guide, the applicable Vendor Handbook or Driver Handbook, and the platform agreements.
This document is provided for informational purposes and supplements — but does not replace — the formal Vendor Agreement and Driver Agreement. In the event of any conflict, the executed agreement controls. FoodRunz reserves the right to update this guide and platform policies at any time with notice to active vendors and drivers.
